The Eighth Question: Ain't Too Proud (But Maybe We Should Be)
Understanding what it means to feel proud of ourselves.
This week was the first time I fell behind on writing to y’all. Missing Friday was a disappointment, but I was glad that I took the time to get a post out, however short, on Saturday. It felt good to be able to keep this routine up, and was a reminder that things don’t always have to be perfect.
You’ll see that that inspired this week’s prompt.
Write about a time you felt really proud of yourself for something you accomplished.
Let’s look at a few different ways to attack this:
Was this something only you recognized, or did it involve the response of others as well?
Have you ever attempted this activity/act again? How did it go?
What did “proud” feel like to you? Have you ever done anything else that brought about a similar feeling?
What can you do to bring these feelings to your everyday?
What are you trying to accomplish right now?

If you ever want to share something that one of our questions has brought up for you, just drop me an email or a DM with your story.
And always feel free to hop in the comments below. I’d love to take some of your journaling prompts for future editions!
A Parting…Something
On Friday I paused to recognize seven years since the death of Prince.
My gift to you as you journal this week: a playlist of my favorite 20 Prince songs. They’re in no particular order, but “Mountains” is my #1.
Enjoy.
