A day late and a question short.
After spending Saturday night taking a three-hour shower (seeing Taylor Swift in the rain), I jus didn’t have it in me to write up this week’s prompt for you. A lesson in planning there, but needed to honor how I was feeling in the moment and forgo writing in favor of…recovering.
With that said, let’s get right to it.
What is a place that has special meaning for you?
When did you first visit this place?
What emotions are connected to your memories of this place? Are they positive or negative?
Is it somewhere you have been back to? How did it feel to revisit it? Did it change how you coded the original experience? Is it even possible to revisit?
Was the place special, or the moment in time?
Were you with people at this place? If so, how did that impact or change your experience?
Drop a Line
If you ever want to share something that one of our questions has brought up for you, just drop me an email or a DM with your story.
And always feel free to hop in the comments below. I’d love to take some of your journaling prompts for future editions!
Something for the Week
I would like to run for President of the Sharon Horgan fan club. Already a huge fan of her work thanks to Catastrophe (a must-watch on Prime if you haven’t seen it), I finally sat down and binged Bad Sisters.
If you have any doubt about this, let me tell you right here: free yourself of them. The show is not only hysterical, and the twists and turns would keep M. Night Shyamalan. A villainous turn from Claes Bang is sure to impact my ability to see him objectively in any role ever again. Really one of the best sociopaths ever committed to screen.
Have Apple TV+ and looking to fill your upcoming Barry/SuccessionTed Lasso void? Give it a watch this week.
